That is a + for me as some of the squirrels ended up with body shots with the CCI Standard Velocity and would make a run for the border. I've read that the impact results with the segmented Quiet is more pronounced and lethal. I haven't tried or known about the Quiet Segmented 40g loading and it looks like from your testing that the noise level is about the same. The Quiet was remarkably quieter and accuracy was much better as well. The CCI standard velocity was very loud in comparison to the Quiet and lacking in the accuracy department. I bought a box of the CCI Quiet 40g and tested them out with my wife functioning as the sound meter. I had been using CCI Standard Velocity in a 20" barreled CZ bolt action with a 6" suppressor on it and finding both the noise level and the accuracy to be dismal. Yesterday there were two squirrels working the bird feeder and they can empty a small one quickly. If there are any type of birds around the feeding when I try to get into position they will take flight and off runs the squirrels. I am shooting about 20-25 yards and don't have a lot of time to acquire a target and get a shot off. I have been trying to reduce the squirrel population at our bird feeders and been a wee bit disappointed in the results lately. Scyclone0538 - Thanks for the effort in producing your info. 22 pellet rifle makes too much noise and it's supposed to be a "Whisper" model nitrogen-cylinder or whatever instead of a spring. I eventually lost interest in the quiet shooting since I don't hunt and can't even plink with a cop living directly behind me in the park, and sold the Noble pump. They didn't work well with the short conical bullet in my 10/22, but I modified the ramp/lip on one 10-round mag to help it start upward instead of slamming into the front of the inside of the rotary mag. overall length too short for working reliably with manual ejection in my MK 3 22/45 Lite. It's powderless with just the Eley primer pushing 20-gr bullets. The Aguila Super Colibrà still made noise, but was the quietest. That's kind of what I expected with the 26" barrel. like a flyswatter hitting the kitchen table. I remember fairs and arcades with the Browning, I guess. 22 CB Shorts would be pretty quiet coming out of a 26" barrel, but should have used ear protection as my ears were ringing a little bit after 8 test rounds. I was doing some in-house testing and figured that the CCI. ![]() prone to bending at the rear of the bullet. 22LR and the 60-gr Aguila Subsonic Sniper rounds have shorter cases and those don't take knocking around much on the way to the chamber during firing. the CCI Stingers have longer cases than regular. Autos have troubles with the variety of cases. The only other pump I saw was a Henry for $400+! It would cycle any size cases. 22 pump that I bought cheap($90+tax) to try subsonic rounds in.
